Marketing Intern
POSITION SUMMARY
The Marketing Intern will assist the marketing team with creating marketing campaigns and materials, managing trade shows and other events, and manage social media content. This position reports to the General Manager.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Marketing Materials
Assists the General Manager with creating marketing campaigns and materials.
Assists the General Manager in applying for company awards.
Trade Shows & Other Events
Trains and schedules brand ambassadors.
Helps identify, register for, and evaluate events.
Organizes booth materials.
Enters sales leads from the events.
Occasionally serves as a Brand Ambassador.
Social Media
Manage social media content calendar and schedules new and repurposed content across of variety of social media platforms.
Interacts with and respond to customers and prospects on social channels to encourage engagement.
Assists with paid social media campaigns.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Knowledge of marketing principles and practices.
Ability to understand, speak, read, and write in English.
Skill in operating personal computer and programs; skill in design software is a plus.
Ability to detect/recognize information in written materials and on computer screen 75-100% of time.
Marketing experience preferred.
Ability to exert up to 10 lb. of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to move objects, maintain a stationary position most of the time.
If working events, 1) ability to transport equipment in own vehicle, 2) ability to exert up to 50 lb. of force occasionally in setting up and tearing down booths, 3) ability to stay upright/stand for up to eight hours at a time, 4) ability to move about and move to/from and work from the floor level, and 5) a valid driver’s license, a safe driving record, and the ability to drive for the company.
