Job Title: Associate (Senior Accountant)

The Role

The Associate is a critical role in the success of e6 CFO and our clients. You will be responsible for leading a team of analysts and preparing clients financial reporting. You will be responsible for producing fast, accurate, and reliable financial reporting. This position affords ample growth opportunities.

Main Responsibilities

Internal

• Structure, plan and communicate work priorities for e6’s Analysts and client bookkeepers
• Provide leadership to Analysts
• Provide performance feedback and coaching to the assigned team
• Ensure ongoing skill development and a desire to continue professional development
• Inspire, motivate, and encourage team members to give their very best
• Provide mentorship to CPA students and Analysts
• Act as a Brand Ambassador in interactions (internal and External)

External

• Preparation of financial analysis and reports
• Assist in the preparation and monitoring of budgets
• Maintaining and reconciling balance sheet and general ledger accounts
• Assist with audit preparation
• Leverage technology to achieve better margins on client engagements
• Liaise with clients on a regular basis. Identify and escalate potential issues.
• Implementation and improvement of accounting/finance procedures.
• Performing other accounting duties as assigned.

Qualifications – What you bring to the team

Education, Knowledge, and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree/diploma in Business, Accounting, Finance or related discipline
• CPA is preferred but consideration will be given to those who have written the CFE and are completing their practical experience
• 2-3+ years of experience in accounting, finance, operations, or a relevant field
• Previous experience working with clients would be an asset
• Must have completed CPA PEP program or have significant experience as an accountant

Skills and Competencies

• Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills. Ability to efficiently manage data
• Experience with full cycle accounting and month end close would be an asset
• Experience compiling and interpreting data, budgets, and analysis
• Experience compiling financial statements
• Ability to communicate financial reports to various users
• Strong financial analysis skills
• Strong communication skills both written and verbally
• Ability to work with little to no supervision
• Ability to balance multiple deadlines at once
• Excellent understanding of financial reporting and applicable standards (ASPE, IFRS, ASNPO)

Working Conditions

• This is a full-time, salaried position based in Moncton, New Brunswick
• Work is generally performed within an office environment with standard office equipment available
• Evening and weekend work may be occasionally required

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $56,000.00-$72,000.00 per year
