About the Role
Our recent growth journey has taken us from 90 employees to 150 in a short period of time! We are excited to be bringing on another addition to the People and Culture team to support our employees and the business as we continue to grow. This is a learning and development position with a special focus on new employee onboarding and training. Your goal in this role will be to work with department leaders to build, facilitate, and monitor new employee training programs to ensure that all new hires have an optimal onboarding experience and are equipped with the tools, resources and knowledge to be successful, motivated and engaged.
This is a hands on role that will require you to get deep into the weeds of what makes a KEVite successful in each area of the business. You will focus on building curriculum, setting goals and expectations, and monitoring employee progress throughout the year. As new hire training matures, you will turn your attention to other L&D opportunities across the business.
Additionally, as part of the People and Culture team, you may be included in various other HR initiatives in support of employee experience and culure.
The Role:
Scheduling, facilitating, and enhancing the curriculum of KEV Academy, our new employee onboarding program, to acclimate all new KEVites to the organization
Working with department heads to build a robust department and role-specific onboarding and training program to ensure that employees have the skills and knowledge to be successful in their roles – this includes defining learning objectives, working with appropriate resources to build learning content, developing training manuals, and helping employees through their onboarding journey
Standing up our recently purchased Learning Management System (Absorb) and rolling out internally as a centralized learning platform and repository for content
Working with leaders to define new employee goals and expectations, and ensuring these are clearly communicated to new hires to set them up for success
Checking in regularly with new hires to provide onboarding support and ensure they are successfully ramping in their new position
Developing an ongoing learning and development program to foster an environment of continuous learning and improvement – such session should cover product, soft skills and hard skills training and should involve bringing cross-functional teams together
Supporting the People and Culture team on various HR initiatives in support of a positive employee experience
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree is a requirement
3+ years’ experience in a learning and development role or related position
Ability to autonomously lead initiatives working alongside senior leadership
Experience developing learning curriculums and facilitating trainings
A passion for helping people realize their fullest potential
Ability to partner with leaders of various departments to understand the drivers of success in any position and develop a set of learning objectives and goals accordingly
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
