Job Description
Reporting to the Chair, Learning & Teaching Services, the incumbent leads the development and delivery of training and coaching support to Algonquin faculty in the effective use of the College’s learning management system (LMS) and related educational technology, including web applications, video conferencing applications, publisher resources, and artificial intelligence tools.
The incumbent provides leadership and support in the analysis, effective design, development, implementation, testing and maintenance of interactive web applications and digital learning resources for the College including the deployment of applications for digital and mobile learning environments.
The incumbent provides leadership in the analysis and redesign of educational technology applications and the design, development, implementation and maintenance of complex online learning applications and resource sites including modifications, enhancements and integration of existing applications. The incumbent will lead the development of applications designed for mobile systems including devices that operate with the IOS and Android operating systems. The incumbent provides advice to College staff on new and emerging technologies that impact the learning environment, and on application enhancements including the design, integration, and quality assessment of digital educational technologies and online resources.
