Role Purpose:
Manages and coordinates the company’s Human Resources function across sub-functions such as recruitment, training and development, compensation and benefits, and employee relations to meet company’s business requirements. Partner with the relevant key leaders in the sub-region for key people decisions/ advices. This is the top Human Resources position for a specific location (store, site, unit, etc.) but is governed by policies and frameworks established by the larger corporation.
Responsibilities:
Change management: Driving change within the organization in the US through influence rather than direct management
Strategy Execution: Leading the execution of human resources strategy, policies and practices within the sub-region to assist long-term business needs.
Business Partner: Provides HR expertise to senior management. Develops guidelines and procedures which assist line management in implementing human resources policy, for example: employee training and development programs, safety and security programs, salary structure, performance management and recognition, talent management and compensation and benefit plans for manager and director level
Recruitment: Coordinates recruitment process in accordance with Sibelco Group recruitment policies for all Sub-Regional Manager and Director roles and Cluster Director roles.
People Management: Coach and develop the HR matter experts within the business services teams in the countries of the sub-region
Continuous Improvement: Continuously identify opportunities for process optimization of HR processes and practices within the sub-region.
Compliance: Ensures compliance of the organization practice with applicable labor legislation and collective agreements. Provides advice to managers and ensures uniform interpretation of laws. Secures professional legal advice from internal or external legal counsel as require
Industrial & Employee Relations: Manage union & employee relations for the country of base. Act as a coordinator and coach of the Clusters in the sub-region in the context of industrial & employee relations.
HR Process: Takes responsibility for rolling out HR processes within the sub-region.
About you:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in experience in Economics, Law or HRM

Experience in a generalist HR role in mineral industry or related industry / union relationship management

Experience in driving change management
