Shared Health leads the planning and coordinates the integration of patient-centred clinical and preventive health services across Manitoba. The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations.
The Shared Services portfolio of the Shared Health Finance Department is responsible for transaction processing for Shared Health. This includes some general ledger activities, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and both internal and external reporting. This is done in co-ordination with the other areas in the Finance Department and involves the development, implementation and maintenance of appropriate plans, policies, systems and controls.
The Accounts Payable area is responsible for the timely and accurate payments to suppliers for goods and services acquired by Shared Health and WRHA operations, and for providing information about payables and payments for reporting purposes.
Under the general supervision of the Director, Accounting Operations the incumbent is responsible for overseeing the accurate and timely payments of financial commitments made by authorized representatives of Shared Health and WRHA and providing information for reporting about payables and payment activities by:
