As a Scotia embarks on transforming the way we keep the bank safe we are looking for training and development advisors to lead the effort to implement new initiatives to invoke change. This multi-year plan will work with multiple workstreams to lead strategies and programs with a global audience.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Change Management, the Manager, Training Strategies will focus on the people side of change derived from changes made to business processes, policies, systems, technology, roles and responsibilities, culture and organizational structure. This role provides the opportunity to support a global program and collaborate with other training and development professionals and change management professionals.

In this role, you will:

Complete needs analysis, create learning objectives, and help stakeholders understand why they are learning. You will also lead and facilitate discussions, design and build training materials, design instructor training, create eLearning content and create PowerPoint presentations.

• 50% of the time delivering training material to stakeholders (managers, directors etc)
  • Scheduling and facilitating question and answer sessions
  • responding to system knowledge inquiries
  • Run demos (train the trainer piece), but also train stakeholders themselves

• 50% building and updating training materials as required
  • Create eLearning Content using PowerPoint, Articulate Storyline, Camtasia, and Adobe Suite.
  • Drafting some communications (training invites, thank you messages etc…)
  • Evaluations to identify areas of improvement

We’d love to work with you if you have:

• 3-5+ years of experience creating a training plan (corporate training) and delivering/ roll out
  • Certified in instructing adults. Demonstrated knowledge of adult learning principles and a variety of design and development principles and methodologies
  • Practical experience and theoretical knowledge in designing and developing digital learning solutions using industry standard authoring tools (Articulate Storyline, Adobe design, Photoshop preferred)
  • Demonstrated thorough knowledge of developing storyboards for creation of videos/eLearning programs
  • Strong technical writing skills, with ability effectively communicate technical information clearly and simply to non-technical audiences
  • Skill/ Experience with accessibility requirements
  • Experience with online delivery (without seeing verbal cues)
  • Proven experience of global implementation
  • Proven time management and stakeholder management skills
  • relevant experience required in the role of a training practitioner, preferably in a partnership or matrix organization where multiple complex groupings of stakeholders must be managed simultaneously
• 1-2 years of experience working with Camtasia and MS Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
• Ability to act independently within defined objectives and direction
• Flexibility to adapt to a variety of tasks and functions and changing priorities
• Excellent analytical, planning, project management, attention to detail and organizational skills
• Exceptional communication skills including public speaking, interpersonal and customer service abilities
• Fluent in Spanish (highly preferred)
• University Undergraduate Program Degree with a Certification in Adult Learning
