Groupe Robert is currently looking for Drivers for our Local division from our Sherbrooke terminus.
Schedule : Monday to Friday 5 am to 5 pm
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE CLASS 1 DRIVER
The driver is responsible for the vehicle, its load, its safety at the wheel and that of others.
He inspects the general condition of the vehicle and reports any anomalies
The driver verifies the total and axial loads in order to predict the reactions of the vehicle;
He carried out his daily activities
Check total and axial loads to predict vehicle reactions
Perform pick-up/delivery, meet customers, have all documentation signed
CLASS 1 DRIVER QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum 1 year of class 1 driver experience
Excellent driving record
Mandatory functional English
Ability to operate a truck in a safe, courteous and efficient manner
Excellent customer service skills and good ability to follow company procedures and policies
Ability to do material handling
