Senior Cybersecurity Analyst (parental leave replacement)

A career in cybersecurity at National Bank means contributing to the transformation and having a direct impact on clients. As a Senior Cybersecurity Analyst , you will report to the Senior Manager, Risk and Practices, and you will be part of the wider team under the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO).
This is a 12-month temporary position, for a parental leave replacement.
Your role:
Assess security controls used by service providers and judge whether they are adequate to protect the Bank’s assets
Conduct security posture assessments of service providers and communicate them to all stakeholders
Help assess and mitigate security risks related to the use of service providers and follow up on any resulting issues
Be proactive and participate in the initiatives aimed at developing the practice and the tools that support it
Contribute to raising the awareness of all stakeholders
Competencies required:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 2 years of relevant experience
Experience in risk analysis/assessment, preferably in information technology and cybersecurity
Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks (e.g. NIST, ISO 27002, OWASP)
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, ability to influence and to synthesize information
Positive, passionate, curious and a team player
Analytical and ability to solve complex problems;
Bilingualism in French and English is required as you will be dealing with partners across Canada and abroad
Preferred competencies:
GIAC, CISSP, CISM, CISA, CEH security certification(s), an asset
Good understanding of information security domains (access control, asset management, security architecture, networking, cryptography, penetration testing, security development)
Relevant work experience with service providers, an asset
Experience working in Agile mode, an asset
Knowledge of the laws and regulations applicable to banking and financial markets, an asset
