About the Role
As a Co-founder & Chief Operating Officer (COO) in a startup, your role will be pivotal in shaping the strategic direction and operational success of the company. You will work closely with the CEO and other co-founders to drive growth, build a strong team, and establish efficient operational processes. This is an equity-based position, where you will have a significant ownership stake in the company.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning: Collaborate with the CEO and co-founders to define the startup’s vision, mission, and long-term strategic goals. Develop actionable plans and initiatives to achieve these objectives.
Operations Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the company, ensuring smooth execution of business activities. Establish and optimize operational processes, systems, and workflows to drive efficiency and scalability.
Team Building and Leadership: Recruit, build, and lead high-performing teams across different functions. Set clear goals, provide guidance, and foster a positive and collaborative work environment. Encourage innovation, professional growth, and a strong culture.
Financial Management: Work closely with the CEO to develop and manage the company’s financial strategy, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. Monitor financial performance, identify opportunities for cost optimization, and make data-driven decisions.
Business Development: Identify and pursue growth opportunities, strategic partnerships, and market expansion. Conduct market research, analyze trends, and stay updated with industry developments. Build relationships with key stakeholders and potential customers.
Investor Relations: Assist the CEO in fundraising efforts, including preparing investor presentations, participating in investor meetings, and managing relationships with investors. Effectively communicate the startup’s value proposition and growth potential to attract funding.
Legal and Compliance: Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards. Work with legal counsel to address intellectual property, contracts, licensing, and other legal matters.
Networking and Industry Engagement: Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities. Build a strong network of contacts, stay updated on emerging trends, and explore collaboration possibilities.
Qualifications and Requirements:
– Proven experience as a co-founder, executive, or senior leader in a startup environment.
– Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong passion for building and scaling businesses.

– Financial acumen and experience in financial planning and analysis.
