About the opportunity:
The Logistics Administrator is responsible for ensuring that customer orders are filled on time and at right quantity and quality.
The attributes we are looking for:
· Coordinate shipments of bulk products to customers by taking sales orders and planning deliveries in coordination with Shipping Department and external warehouses. This may involve actual batch selection of product. This relates to both domestic and export shipments.
· Ensure that customer requirements are met by selecting best product to meet customer needs, monitoring the progress of shipments, and ensuring results are satisfactory.
· Evaluate Plan B product inventories of butter and skim milk powder. Monitor proper rotation of production dates and tender and purchase as required. This includes selling these products to the Canadian Dairy Commission and purchasing back as required to meet corporate finished goods inventory targets and customer requirements.
· Reconcile inventory at external warehouses with perpetual inventories.
· Identify problem inventories and coordinate disposal with corporate stakeholders (Sales).
· Coordinate customer returns with the Quality group by advising details of the issue/non-conformity to Quality Control, as product cannot be returned without Quality Control authorization. Advise Shipping, Receiving and Sales departments. Assist with returns investigation by determining root cause analysis and notifying Sales of disposition of returned product(s).
What you will bring:
· College diploma in business administration
· Minimum three (3) years experience in a customer service environment
· Good communication and interpersonal skills
· Proficient with standard office computer technology such as Lotus Notes, and Microsoft Office (Word & Excel), as well as business systems such as SAP
· Ability to achieve positive results in a highly interactive and fast paced working environment
· Strong organizational and planning skills
