COMPENSATION: $48,766 – $50,006 Annually Prorate

To help fulfill its mission, LOFT is hiring a Personal Support Worker.
JOB SUMMARY:
The Personal Support Worker provides assistance to the physical, cognitive, and mental health needs of the vulnerable, senior residents, as well as other older adults, who are living in the community in Orillia. This consists of providing assistance to frail, cognitively impaired seniors who may be living with mental health, addictions, severe social isolation and other challenges while living in the community. Staff are also expected to adhere to a recreational and social program of physical and leisure activities for the clients which promotes social interaction and enhances their well-being and cognitive function. This position will actively contribute to the program’s staff team and adhere to the established routines or protocols of the program including emergency, security, medication, fire and general health and safety practices.
Note: Staff will be required to work in residents’ rooms and may therefore be exposed to second-hand smoke. In addition, all positions will require weekend shifts.
