This role is responsible for TMi2 solution quality. TMi2 is used to plan daily deliveries to stores (outbound) and vendor purchase order pickups (inbound) as efficient and cost-effective loads and trips. The optimization is expected to meet business commitments of planned arrival with target delivery windows while maintaining compliance and cost requirements within Loblaw standard operating procedures, utilizing Loblaw approved transportation carriers, routed to minimize travelled miles and maximize product on trailers.
What you’ll do:
Solution configuration and end user support ensuring optimal configuration aligned to business requirements
Ensure configuration documentation is up to date for user SOPs, Job Aids, Learning Guides and Simulations, changes reviewed through governance process and report and track documentation audits
Ongoing optimization solution quality management (via metrics), making necessary adjustments to configuration ensuring optimization strategy solutions for future sessions. Communicate with Planning team on adjustments
Development of complex transportation modelling algorithms and “what if” scenarios, designed to baseline current transportation activity, and identify areas of opportunities within the network to drive cost reduction working closely with finance and transportation operations
Implementation of tracking tools designed to monitor impacts and trends of implemented solutions
Triage, track and solution user inquiries and issues related to system configuration and solution quality within established SLA and reporting requirements.
System production support and testing, maintaining lower environments with applicable configuration required for future testing with adherence to testing protocols and governing processing, ticket logging and ongoing maintenance
Review utilization reports with planning management team, discuss areas of opportunities and develop plans to address gaps
Assist in the development and maintenance of onboarding strategy for new colleagues and cross training opportunities
What you’ll need:
Knowledge of Supply Chain processes and SOPs
2-3 years of experience in the retail/wholesale grocery business is an asset
Technical skills: troubleshooting, development & testing support and modelling capabilities
Advanced Excel & Access, SQL Query, Oracle, Visual Basics, large scale data mining & investigation
Experience with SAP and Azure (JDA) i2 is an asset
Strong system configuration knowledge and impact assessment
Strong organization and Project Management skills
Analytical and decision-making skills with strong attention to detail
Comfortable building relationships across business units, communication reports to leadership, delivering presentations and SME for end users
Work flexible including weekends to support project deployments
