Kassen Recruitment Looking for Accounts Receivable Clerk at Stoney Creek, Ontario, Canada Full Time

We are seeking a motivated and meticulous Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our client’s team. This role involves handling all accounts receivable tasks and providing crucial support to the credit department. If you have experience in credit management and accounting, along with strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills, we want to hear from you.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and apply cash receipts to customer accounts
• Perform regular account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
• Efficiently address and resolve customer billing issues
• Identify customer deductions and forward them to the sales team for confirmation.
• Accurately process credit card payments on time
• Follow up on overdue payments to ensure prompt collection from customers
• Conduct thorough pre-sales credit risk assessments, including gathering bank/trade references analyzing reports, and reporting findings to the Credit Manager
• Establish and maintain comprehensive customer records in the system
• Assist with the release of orders held for credit
• Issue month-end statements to customers
• Handle credit reference inquiries and provide copies of invoices to customers

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in credit management (CCP enrollment is a plus).
• General accounting experience is required.
• Strong ability to manage both external and internal relationships.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• High level of professionalism, responsibility, and accountability.
• Proficiency in time management and attention to detail.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities and a results-oriented approach.
