BECC Construction Inc. is an established general contractor with a 15-year history of delivering projects on-time and on-budget. We are seeking an exceptional full-time HR/Payroll Coordinator for our Ancaster office due to growth in the company, reporting directly to the Group Controller. This role will be responsible for payroll, recruitment activities, onboarding, benefits administration and general HR administration.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
· Support the recruitment and selection process by working with hiring managers, updating job descriptions and postings, sourcing candidates, resume screening, performing background checks, assisting in shortlisting, issuing employment contracts, etc
· Responding to internal and external HR related inquiries or requests
· Maintain records of personnel-related data and ensure all employment requirements are met
· Conducts new hire orientation and other onboarding activities
· Assist in the development and regular review of HR policies and procedures
· Coordination of performance management program
· Manage the exit interview process, including analyzing feedback for trends
· Handle all aspects of Payroll, including but not limited to, collecting timesheets with appropriate approvals, processing of payroll, preparation of government remittances, monthly and year end reporting
· Other duties and projects as assigned

Qualifications
· At least 3 years of human resources & payroll experience
· Experience in the Construction or Manufacturing industry is preferred
· Degree or diploma in Human Resources or related field
· CHRP designation or pursuing CHRP is an asset
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
· Experience with an ERP system
· Solid understanding of various employment related legislation
