Position Summary
The Business Development Manager – Canada will be a seasoned professional that will apply previous knowledge to initiatives within the organization globally. A vital part of the role is establishing and maintaining excellent relationships with our clients and prospects to expand RxSource’s clinical trial services presence within Canada. This position requires collaboration with all departments, global facilities and the ability to work within sensitive timelines and various time zones. This is a pivotal role that requires the candidate to have a proven Business Development Strategy, strong communication and analytical skills to fulfill RxSource’s vision, mission and values.
Main Accountabilities:
Strategy and Management
- Create, implement, execute and manage a solid business strategy and infrastructure for the clinical business. Focusing on developing new clients and sales opportunities within the Canadian region.
- Stay up-to-date and knowledgeable to comply with all of RxSource’s service offerings and competitive Industry environment
- Drive business for RxSource’s core service offerings – sourcing, packaging & labelling and depot services
- Grow gross profit through a healthy pipeline of profitable opportunities
- Analyze trends and forecasting of required products to anticipate market needs
- Develop and manage client relationships, ensuring accuracy, profitability and customer satisfaction
- Implement best practices and coach team through processes
- Work closely with other Business Development team members to identify opportunities for global projects
- Network with industry experts and attend industry events (conferences, trade shows and webinars)
- Review contracts and collaborate with the internal Legal, Compliance, and Finance team to ensure formal review, approval and signing of contracts
Collaboration and Reporting
- Collaborate with VP Business Development, QA, Procurement and Logistics teams when establishing new client accounts
- Liaise with the Quality Assurance team to ensure all activities are within SOP parameters
- Communicate frequently with all the departments to ensure information flows seamlessly (QA, Logistics, Customer Service, Purchasing, Operations, HR and Regional Teams etc.)
- Set monthly and weekly goals and create metrics to monitor and improve performance.
- Provide regular reports as required on progress on weekly and monthly goals, opportunities and financials
Skills and Experience Required:
- 2 years sales experience within the Pharmaceutical Industry
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales and/or Marketing
- Must have high ethical and professional standards
- Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to develop strategic and collaborative relationships
- Willingness to work within different global time zones − available to work flexible hours as required
- Valid Ontario driver’s license
- Valid passport and ability to travel domestically and internationally as required
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $70,000.00-$95,000.00 per year
