Job Description, Marketing Assistant/ Online Coordinator
We are seeking a highly driven and hardworking Marketing Assistant/ Online Coordinator to join Blue Grass Sod, Nursery & Garden Centres. This full-time role of Marketing Assistant/ Online Co-Ordinator involves daily administrative tasks to ensure the functionality and coordination of the marketing department’s activities.
The successful candidate is a professional who executes support activities and can process sales orders via our online store (via WooCommerce). They are the principal assistant of the Marketing Manager with whom they work on directed projects to maximize the profits of the company, facilitate marketing campaigns and develop sales strategies.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Liaise with customers and external contacts
- Assist with trade show and event planning
- Creating and maintaining spreadsheets
- Responsible for the organization and management of all local online orders for both local pick-up and delivery
- Monitor, receive and dispatch all online orders. Liaising with our partner courier to ensure prompt delivery of all orders
- Content Creation, copy writing, proof reading
- Create reports on analytics from social media campaigns
- Assist in marketing administrative duties
Qualifications:
- Good understanding of office management and marketing principles
- Demonstrable ability to multi-task and adhere to deadlines
- Well-organized with a customer-oriented approach
- Good knowledge of market research techniques and databases
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office, marketing computer software and online applications (CRM tools, Online analytics, Google Adwords etc.)
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Walking/standing for prolonged periods
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
- WooCommerce or online merchandising experience would be an asset
- Online Store Coordinator may be working at a computer or picking and allocating orders for customers. Standing and walking for long periods may be required
- High School diploma; Marketing Diploma, Business Degree or relevant field is a strong advantage
- Proficient in Canva, Piktochart and other creative applications
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to communicate directly with clients and encourage trusting relationships
- Ability to write marketing literature to augment the presence of the company in the market
- Knowledgeable in all social platforms i.e: LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends
- This is a full time, seasonal position with the potential to become permanent
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: $16.00-$20.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 10 hour shift
- Day shift
- Weekend availability
