The opportunity:
The Global Mobility Team is responsible for delivering the Global Opportunities (GO) program in Canada. The GO program is KPMG’s international assignment program where we facilitate the movement of our people on short-term and long-term assignments to KPMG offices around the world. The team also supports all international and domestic relocations for the Canadian firm and assists with Canadian immigration and permanent residency matters.
Our team is looking for a Global Mobility Senior Advisor to manage our assignment program for the Audit practice and to support our Global Mobility team in executing on our GO program activities.
What you will do:
Participate in the global discussions on setting up the parameters of the assignment program.
Partnering with the HR leader for Audit to assess current resourcing needs to participate in the program.
Work with our business leaders to facilitate the placement and management of inbound candidates.
Oversee and facilitate the operational case management of program and ensure that the overall GO program objectives are achieved.
Promote the GO program. This includes participation in local & virtual office presentations, regular reporting on mobility program utilization, and processes mobility packages with KPMG global contacts.
Responsible for running costs projections per country and per level.
Oversee the year-end billing and accrual process.
Manage the tax, immigration and benefits analysis of cases.
Act as an ambassador for KPMG to ensure candidates are provided with a positive recruitment experience.
Provide regular communication and reporting to the Global Mobility Leader and escalate issues and obstacles as appropriate.
Performance manager for junior members of team.

What you bring to this role:
A minimum of 5 years of Canadian immigration or Global Mobility experience in a high volume environment.
Bachelor’s degree in HR, Immigration or related field.
Experience working on immigration compliance matters and complex immigration reviews.
Experience overseeing or working on global mobility programs.
Superior communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
A solid understanding of cross border taxation & immigration matters.
Experience in maintaining and building trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders. A commitment to ensuring candidates and employees receive a highly professional and well-regarded experience throughout the mobility process.
Proficient in using technology including Excel and Powerpoint.
Proven ability to work well in a fast paced, highly demanding, team environment.
Ability and experience to prioritize work based on requirements of multiple stakeholders.
Performance management or coaching experience.
An ability and desire to follow processes consistently and to create efficiencies as required.
Superior attention to detail.
