Acadia Group of Companies is currently seeking a Senior Accountant to perform accounting duties within our organization. This position is an important part of our support services team. The candidate must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience. You will possess solid communication, technology, organizational and analytical skills.
Primary Duties/Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the accuracy and reconciliation of the monthly/yearly accounting data
- Preparation of internal financial statements, providing analysis to highlight areas of concern or opportunity
- Maintaining and reconciling balance sheets and general ledger accounts
- Assisting with annual Accountant preparations
- Ensure transactions are recorded and maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures
- Ensure compliance with all government finance regulations
- Aiding in the timely processing of accounts payable and receivable
- Broad range of accounting procedures
- Performing other duties and supporting junior staff as required or assigned.
Desired Skills and Experience
- 5 years’ of accounting experience
- Strong financial analysis skills
- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures including general ledger functions and month/year-end close procedures.
- Experienced use of accounting software (Sage 300 preference) and administrative skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Analytical and organizational skills
- Self-motivated and self-directed
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Must be proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite with a focus in excel

Wage: $75,000.00 – $125,000.00
