We are hiring for a contract/ freelance position in a remote setting. This position is expected to be flexible in scheduling to meet the needs of the business with a minimum of 15 hours per week. Although this position is a temporary position until Mar 25 2023, there is a strong potential for a permanent position upon expansion. Internships also available for a similar position.

SUMMARY:
The Digital Developer will have a passion for excellence in customer service and a background in various digital marketing platforms, project management tools, WordPress & Wix website development, independent work, and meeting deadlines. They will be expected to function well within an independent and group environment to carry out everyday duties.
REPORTS TO:
Director, Manager
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- 1+ years of marketing & digital development experience as an asset with a focus on social media & web development
- At least 2 year of WordPress web development
- At least 2 year of Elementor web dev
- At least 2 year of frontend & backend SEO dev
- Previous experience in sporting goods marketing & sales (an asset)
- Strong knowledge and experience using digital and social media platforms
- Some outdoor activities-related experience or knowledge (an asset)
- Familiar with Google & Microsoft Analytics suites
- Proficiency with social media analytics
- Proficient in various digital ad campaigns
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Recent post-secondary graduation with a degree/diploma is a must

DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS:
Web Development
- Lead the execution of the company’s web development and management
- Develop & continuously improve WordPress websites
- Front & Backend SEO development & market analysis
Marketing
- Identify new marketing channels and tactics for increased lead generation
- Be result-oriented and methodically optimize cost per lead and lead generation tactics
- Manage marketing campaigns, budgets, and processes
- Proactively improve marketing strategies and brand recognition in niche markets
- Lead the production of design elements for marketing material. This would include: graphics, collateral, and go-to-market assets to communicate with internal and external audiences
- Manage social media accounts
- Develop and maintain customer databases and advertising campaigns
- Work with the team to support communication activities and accounts management
- Contribute to content for newsletters, blogs, white papers, and customer stories
- SEO analysis and reporting
WORKING CONDITIONS:
– Must possess valid Canadian work authorization such as Canadian citizen, permanent resident or person who has been granted refugee status

- $16.65-$20 per hour. This job may be funded through the ‘Digital Skills for Youth Program’.
