This position is responsible for key warehouse functions including receiving, order fulfilment, cycle count, and reconciliation. This role will interface with management, operations and projects to optimize order fulfilment and material management processes
· Responsible for the receiving, shipping, handling, distribution and storage of all freight, product and supplies that come in and out of the warehouse
· Manage warehouse layout and space requirements in order to prevent loss or damage and to achieve full warehouse optimization
· Ability to coach, train and lead work teams to achieve performance as it relates to specialization in receiving, shipping and processing
· Ensure all orders are loaded/shipped to customers in a timely manner in adherence to schedules
· Plan and execute logistics need’s with trucking firms to ensure timely pick-up and delivery of shipments, while minimizing overall freight costs.
· Coordinate, assign, and review the work of the Shipping Department and all employees involved in logistics control
· Manages and maintains the Company owned and leased forklifts
· Maintains and organizes records for logistics transactions
· Inspect and verify incoming goods and shipments, and report any damages, defects, discrepancies
· Ensure Shipping Team safely operates company provided vehicles
· Maintains accurate records through electronic and manual recordings
· Provide all necessary documents in support of shipments
· Reviews and audits all in and outbound freight invoices for inconsistencies
· Select, train, and maintain warehouse employees in various areas of the department to effectively deal with the routine and emergent situations.
· Establish and maintain good employee relations, build team spirit, discipline for cause, resolve grievances in just and fair manner
· Coordinate activities with other work units or departments
· Manage the physical flow of materials to other manufacturing facilities, including inventory management, warehousing and transportation to ensure sufficient supply of materials
· Review load patterns and instructions to warehouse personnel to ensure physical loads are performed to company policies and procedures
· Working with vendor managed inventory
· Follow all procedures and training as provided by the company to perform work safely. Ensure that all safety requirements identified or prescribed in the course of performing the duties outlined in this job description are followed
· Update, track, and maintain employee timecards through ADP for accuracy
· Performs all duties as assigned in accordance with and adherence to the ISO9001 Quality System Standard
· Other duties as required
