Small Engine/Compact Utility Equipment Technician

We are looking for an exceptional Small Engine/Compact Utility Equipment (CUE) Technician to join our team in Stony Plain, AB. Experience as a CUE Technician, Lawn & Garden Technician or Small Engine Mechanic would be preferred.

What makes the role exciting and what does it involve?

• Working on a wide range of equipment and brands

• Massey Ferguson, Cub Cadet, Toro, Stihl products and more!

• Lawn tractors, zero turn mowers, compact tractors (below 100hp), push mowers, string trimmers, chainsaws, snow blowers, tillers etc.

• Diagnostics, electrical work, general repairs, maintenance and pre-delivery inspections of equipment

• Pre-season inspections and updates to equipment

• Manufacturer training

• Completing detailed notes on work orders and recommendations for additional work that should be considered for the equipment

• Ensure the timely performance of repairs and maintenance based on the direction and schedule created by the Manager or supervisor

• Completing work in the shop and/or field as needed

What are we looking for?

• Previous experience working with small engines & compact equipment including attachments with a working knowledge of gas and diesel engines

• Someone who is a problem solver, finding solutions to complex repair or diagnostic challenges & proficient with computer and electrical diagnostics

• Excellent communication skills including the ability to relay technical information to colleagues and customers

• Reliable, punctual team member, willing to work overtime (if required)

• Class 5 driver’s license (with no restrictions) with a clean driver’s abstract
