Missions and Responsibilities

We are currently looking for a Human Resources Advisor for Eastern Canada (Quebec and Atlantic) to partner with business managers and business line human resources managers to implement various human resources policies and programs, and to support the organisation’s business strategy, objectives and values. You will be an indispensable contact person for more than 40 managers and about 400 employees in all matters relating to human resources management, labour and employee relations, training, and compensation within your region for the industrial business lines of Air Liquide in Canada. You will leverage the human resources structure, including shared service centres and systems, to deliver support efficiently and timely.

Areas of responsibility
Provide HR support to employees and managers: Leverage the human resources structure and systems to provide employees and managers with tools to manage employee relations in accordance with Air Liquide’s programs, policies and procedures.
Support the implementation of the business strategy: In your role, you will support all regional managers in implementing Air Liquide’s business strategy, objectives and values, advise managers with regards to their operational and management decisions, and make appropriate recommendations to reach objectives.
Coordinate talent development programs: You will participate in the implementation of talent development programs for training, succession planning and career development.
Ensure the environment is in place to manage labour relations: You will assume an analytical and advisory role as concerns the interpretation and application of collective bargaining agreements, labour laws and regulations, make appropriate recommendations, and participate in the collective bargaining process, all those actions with the collaboration of the Labour Relations Manager.
Communications and special projects: You will encourage the sharing of best practices and knowledge, collaborate with the Human Resources teams from Group, Americas and other Canada regions, and be responsible for carrying out special projects to improve employee engagement, retention, development and productivity.
Competencies and Profile
Experience and Competencies
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or Industrial Relations, or equivalent.
More than 5 years relevant experience, in an industrial, manufacturing environment, including experience in labour relations. You have knowledge of labour laws and regulations in Quebec and the Atlantic Provinces.
Experience working within a matrix organisation structure or in multi unit businesses
Experience in an international environment
Knowledge of Workday platform and Google Suite and its various tools.
Excellent spoken and written communication skills, in both French and English.
