Description:
As an Education Consultant II, you will be working closely with interdisciplinary professionals with a variety of backgrounds, where you will provide assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of staff development, professional development, patient education and consumer health education programs. By collaborating with key stakeholders, you will identify, prioritize and evaluate professional and clinical needs of staff, assisting staff with effective problem-solving and improving patient care outcomes. This includes the development and delivery of seminars, workshops and other clinical education opportunities within your assigned program.

Required Qualifications:
Completion of a bachelor¿s degree in a health or education related field. Active or eligible for registration with the applicable regulatory body.
Additional Required Qualifications:
A minimum of 5 years full time experience in the last 5 years focusing care in the ED, ICU, Ward care, Outreach, NICU and Women’s Health specifically Labour and Delivery. A demonstrated pattern of professional development; display of interpersonal, communication, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills; ability to manage competing priorities, be self-directed, exercise independent decision-making and effectively resolve conflict; and promotion of a healthy, respectful, and safe work environment. Current arterial line insertion certification. Current adult and neonatal intubation certification. Current NRP. Esophageal balloon insertion certification. This position includes the following physical requirements: Being on one’s feet (walking/standing) and working on the computer for extended periods of time, exposure to infectious diseases, and hazardous situations for which they are trained; be able to assist in transporting, lifting and positioning of patients; be able to bend, lift, push, and pull equipment such as life support systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in staff education or leadership. Education or work experience utilizing QI or Change Management principles. Current certifications in the following: PALS, ACLS, CRE/CAE, Tobacco reduction. Current BLS instructor credential. Attendance of DAM course.
