The Alberta Veterinary Technologist Association (ABVTA) is seeking an experienced program administrator to build and provide support to the ABVTA’s member services and programs. Our ideal candidate is a highly organized, team player who takes initiative and is self-motivated. They are passionate and committed to supporting veterinary technologists through facilitating events and services and providing general administrative support to the organization.
Job Overview:
Reporting to the Executive Director, the main responsibility of the Event and Member Services Administrator is to work with volunteers to plan, organize and manage events and services for members. This may include tasks such as coordinating event logistics, managing vendor relationships, creating event marketing materials, and responding to member inquiries.
In addition to event and member services duties, the Administrator will also be responsible for providing general administrative support. This may include answering phones, managing the general email inbox, website maintenance, and completing other administrative tasks as needed.
To succeed in this role, the Administrator will have excellent communication skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while working from a virtual office. Experience in event planning, volunteer coordination, customer service and proficiency in Microsoft Office is beneficial.
