Job Summary:
As a Human Resources Manager reporting to the Director of Human Resources, you will be directly responsible for the overall administration, coordination and evaluation of the human resource function. Focus will be on employee/labour relations, you will also ensure a safe and healthy environment for all employees in accordance with policy and legislation. You will be working in a team and collaborative environment.
Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
· Respond to all union grievances and arbitrary matters
· Ensure adherence to legislative and collective agreement requirements
· Support various levels of leaders and employees on the interpretation and application of collective agreements
· Support managers and employees in successful resolution of workplace issues and conflicts
· Conduct investigations in employee and customer incidents, including but not limited to, harassment, discrimination, and violation of company policies
· Address employee reintegration and accommodation options in the workplace
· Update, develop, integrate and implement plant policies
· Respond to internal and external employee inquiries/feedback
· Support recruitment process, employee onboarding and development
· Manage all aspects of health and safety at work from prevention of occupational accidents and diseases to the application of the relevant provincial legislation and regulations
· Facilitate timely hiring and quality of process. Ensure compliance with all applicable law and policies
· Mediate and resolve employee relation disputes as necessary, conducts investigations and lead positive employee relations interventions as required
Other duties as required.
Required Credentials:
· A bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or 7 to 10 years in Labour Relations/Human Resources in a distribution/manufacturing or related unionized environment.
· 4 years in a manger role or labour relations specialist.
· Administration and negotiations of collective agreements.
· HRIS systems.
· Fluently bilingual.
· Outstanding oral and written communication skills.
· Superior attention to detail.
· Demonstrated capability to interact directly with all levels of employees.
· Strong math and analytical skills.

Salary: $85,000.00-$95,000.00 per year
