The HR & Payroll Administrative Assistant effectively contributes to the administration of the day-to-day operations for HR and Payroll. Reporting to the HR & PR Manager and working as a member of the team in a service-oriented, fast-paced and dynamic environment, this role provides comprehensive support and interacts effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
Major Areas of Responsibilities:
– Assisting with day to day operations of the HR & PR functions and duties
– Assist Training Coordinator with Field employee onboarding process
– HRMS data entry for field employees including safety tickets and employee set up
– Assist with implementation of ADP Workforce Now

– A high degree of confidentiality, diplomacy, ability to manage confidential and complex information and handling multiple tasks under strict deadlines is necessary
– Along with a positive, go-getter attitude and excellent communication and time management skills
– Must thrive in a fast-paced environment and have the ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work and exercise initiative to ensure high quality service
– Ability to work independently and must be able to work under minimum supervision
– You must be motivated, energetic, self-starter, ability to take control, professional and reliable
– Ability to work well with people at all levels and from multiple cultures
– Strong analytical, organizational, prioritizing, and problem-solving skills, technical knowledge
– Exceptional attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy
– Must possess effective oral and written communication skills
– Must have strong work ethics, respect for privacy and confidentiality is essential
– Excellent computer skills with advance knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, Power Point)
– Must include and demonstrate skills in data base management and record keeping
– Deadline and task-oriented individual who acts with a sense of urgency.
Education/Certification and Experience:
– Post-secondary diploma or certification in human resources management and/or accounting
– Minimum 1-3 years experience demonstrating successful track record in related functions
– Previous knowledge of ADP Workforce Now (Auto Pay) is an asset
– Previous knowledge of HRMS, HR Adm & Benefits and/or Payroll a strong asset
– Knowledge of SharePoint – Administrative function an asset
– Intermediate to advanced skills in Excel
