JOB LOCATION:

ONSITE: This is an onsite position – the intern/co-op is required to relocate if necessary and work full-time (40 hours) from the location office.
PROGRAM TERM:

This is an exciting role as you will have great exposure to all of the latest technologies in the computer graphics industry – 3D Gaming, Display Technologies like Freesync, Compute, Virtual Reality….you name it. Imagine you are part of the team which will deliver our next-generation computer graphics products like Radeon gaming and Enterprise GPU solutions– This is a unique opportunity to work in a unique company like AMD.
As part of the RTG (Radeon Technology Group) Software Quality Assurance, Consumer Product division you will participate in various phases of the software QA lifecycle including but not limited to:
Driving, developing, defining and executing automated and manual test plans/ cases – Test Case/Plan development consisting of Functional testing, negative testing, customer/end-user testing, performance, reliability, and usability
Data & Process Review: Identify metrics and measurements for various aspects of the software QA development cycle. Evaluation/review of all new or existing processes, comparing them to established procedures and standards both technical and non-technical, and champion where applicable.
Hardware & Software Architecture: System (PC) configuration and management (Windows and Linux OSes )
Software/driver feature validation: Report on and triage driver and software issues and drive them to closure
USEFUL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Strong knowledge of or interest in PC Graphics and technologies (including Computer display technologies, 3D graphics concepts/API/Gaming/Content creation/Enterprise, VR, Multimedia, Compute, Machine Learning)
Good knowledge and hands-on experience in PC configuration (both Software and Hardware) and troubleshooting
Passionate about Computer Graphics and PC Gaming; always up to date on the latest technologies
Programming/scripting skills would be a big asset;
Self-starter is able to achieve successful outcomes in a non-hierarchical environment, with minimal supervision or direction.
Detail-oriented; ability to multitask through planning/organizing.
Communication skills: excellent oral, written, and presentation skills.
