Aston Carter Looking for Pricing Manager at Bolton, ON Full Time

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Build value/financial models, assist business to make decisions on setting and changing pricing, aligned with the customer value relative to next best alternative, costing structure and efficiency capabilities
• Creatively develop competitive advantage through innovative pricing concepts

o Utilize data to develop more effective pricing approaches to drive growth and profitability

o Recommend and execute pricing strategies by product category, geographic region and end-market

• Assess existing pricing processes, streamline and implement standard pricing processes globally
• Track and facilitate approval of all discounts that exceed Sales VP authority
• Track and report pricing trends on a regular basis. Closely monitor competitor pricing activity through sales team and customer feedback as well as business performance indicators
• Identify requirements for regional pricing variations working with regional sales teams and develop plans accordingly
• Continuously review individual pricing elements and pricing portfolio for opportunities to simplify the customer experience and sales presentation

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelors equivalent in an Engineering, Finance or other related Business discipline
• Minimum 3 years of experience with a minimum 1-2 years progressive experience in a pricing/sales/sales support, business development or related finance role for a mid-size or global organization
• Excellent analytical and creative problem solving skills and the ability to think outside the box
• Advanced Excel skills, PowerPoint and ERP knowledge
• Process and project management skills from development to implementation
• Ability to lead and work in cross-functional teams, across multiple geographies
• Ability to make recommendations in an environment of uncertainty and ambiguity. Accustomed to an extremely fast-paced environment, requiring balancing of immediate tactical responses with long term strategic planning
• Ability to negotiate and influence
• Ability to work independently
• Strong presentation skills
• Knowledge of Injection Molding and/or Rigid Packaging product is an asset

• Monitoring pricing activity through sales teams and customer feedback
• Identifying what trends are happening globally
• Identifying requirements for regional pricing variations

MUST HAVE 2: Strong Excel Skills

• Vlookups, Pivot Tables,

MUST HAVE 3: Bachelors degree in finance, or business

NICE TO HAVES:

– ERP Knowledge – BAAN is the syste

• Negotiation experience
• Macros
• Project management experience
• Manufacturing experience ideally within automotive or aerospace
