Organizational & Project Background:
Established in 1977, BC Care Providers Association (BCCPA) is the leading voice for B.C.’s continuing care sector. Our growing membership base includes over 450 long-term care, assisted living, and commercial members from across British Columbia. Through its operating arm EngAge BC, the organization represents independent living and private-pay home health operators.
The Facilitating Access to Skilled Talent (FAST) program helps immigrants get ready for employment in Canada by helping them to translate their international experience and education to industry standards. The program helps immigrants launch their careers in Canada by offering self-paced, online employment preparation.
The FAST Seniors Care stream connects seniors’ care and living employers to pre-assessed immigrant candidates who have foundational occupational skills, workplace and cultural skills, and meet English language requirements. FAST Seniors Care is a partnership between the Immigrant Employment Council of BC (IEC-BC) and BC Care Providers Association (BCCPA) and EngAge BC.
We will provide orientation and onboarding for the best fit and qualified candidate. If you are passionate about employer relations management and are interested in an initiative to connect immigrant/ newcomer job seekers to rewarding careers in the seniors care and living sector, please apply. We welcome applications from people with international and or diverse experiences.
