We are excited to grow our team with a new full-time role for Talent Acquisition Coordinator.
Position Summary:
Reporting to the head of HR, the Talent Acquisition Coordinator works collaboratively with 4 other team members to support the full cycle recruitment process. This position will also help to promote our employer brand, participate in new employee onboarding and assist with other people and culture responsibilities and projects.
Primary Responsibilities:
Support full-cycle recruitment including drafting job descriptions, postings, resume screening, scheduling, conducting pre-screens, writing interview guides, and preparing job offers.
Actively source talent by building networks and cultivating relationships within talent networks and through LinkedIn to find qualified and “great fit” candidates.
Research, leverage and recommend best practice recruitment strategies using various tools (i.e., social media, websites, professional associations, universities, co-op student programs).
Assist in providing recruitment training and coaching to hiring managers on recruitment and interview best practices.
Coordinate and research university/college co-op programs and student internship programs, university job fairs, etc.
Coordinate with the marketing team to build employer brand awareness through social media platforms, Glassdoor, job fairs, etc., leveraging the company brand to promote our great company culture and attract top talent.
Participate in the onboarding process for new employees, while staying up to date on current trends, making recommendations for improvement.
Create and maintain employee files and data such as tracking time to fill and other talent analytics.
Assist with other HR and or Admin responsibilities.
Technical Skills:
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
Experience working with social media tools for recruitment is an asset
Experience working with applicant tracking software (ATS) is an asset
Education and Experience:
Diploma, certificate or degree in Human Resources Management
1-2 years HR experience
1-2 years’ experience as in Talent Acquisition/Recruiting; experience within a high-tech company is an asset
CPHR designation or working towards this is an asset
Member of a professional HR Association (CPHR BC, TAP Network) is beneficial
