Canadian National Railway Company (CN) is looking for a highly motivated person to fulfill a full-time (40h/week) Intern, Revenue Management Accounting position in Montreal, Quebec for summer 2023 (May – August).
Job Summary
The Intern, Revenue Management Accounting is responsible for supporting the Non-Freight Revenue and Recoverable team working closely with other CN’s Accounting Departments (e.g. Accounts Payables, Accounts Receivables, Financial Reporting and Accounting Development), CN’s Mechanical Department and CN’s Engineering Department. The Accounting Department is a cross-functional team of over 200 professionals responsible for accounting operations and financial reporting. The team ensures the highest level of integrity for the organization’s accounting records and is engaged with every function to control costs, maximize revenue and cash flow, and support CN in achieving its financial objectives.
Major Responsibilities
Participate in special projects and system testing
Perform various analyses and reconciliations
Identify opportunities for process improvements
Requirements
Fluently bilingual both written and verbal (English, French)
Excellent communication skills
Planning and organization skills
Data analysis and investigative skills
Deadline focused and results oriented
Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access)*
Education
Working towards a College or Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or equivalent
