Canadian Tire Corporation, Limited (“CTC”) is one of Canada’s most admired and trusted companies. With world-class Owned Brands and exciting market-leading merchandising strategies, we are continually innovating with purpose: to be there for Canadians from coast-to-coast. We are relentlessly focused on innovating at every level of our business, investing in new technologies and products, and doubling down on the best talent to drive the company forward. It is an especially exciting time to join Canadian Tire and its group of companies.
The Operations Planning Center is CTC’s Supply Chain planning hub. The OPC works with our integrated partners – CTC Associate Stores, Suppliers, Forecasting and Replenishment, Execution Teams (DCs, Trans), Third Party Providers and Carriers to plan efficient product flow across our network.
Capacity and Production Planning’s vision is to be recognized leaders in the planning of supply chain operations, to facilitate growth, reliability and cost effectiveness.
To help define where and how we work, CTC has introduced Hybrid Workplace Personas. While each role fits into a different persona category, this may evolve as employees progress in their career or business needs change. The Supply Chain Planning Analyst position is categorized as a Roamer, which means that the incumbent can successfully complete their role objectives virtually and are not required to be present on a CTC campus unless they choose to do so.
What you’ll do
Provide awareness, context and guidance to internal and external supply chain partners with regards to capacity objectives, requirements and events that span annual, seasonal and weekly time horizons.
Create capacity and production plans, and coordinate their execution with the operational teams to balance the use of supply chain assets with the flow of goods to positively impact service levels and the financial bottom line.
Proactively apply continuous improvement methodologies to internal processes as well as cross functional processes and services to improve supply chain productivity, reduce costs, and foster strong partnerships.
Participate in the development of both long and short term capacity plans and take a leadership role in the weekly communication, coordination, and achievement of these goals within a specialized business discipline
Provide business intelligence, investigate options and make recommendations to Supply Chain partners across the corporation, using skills and subject matter expertise to achieve organizational goals (i.e capacity relief, OMSL targets, DC productivity, etc)

Leverage and further develop technical and business expertise in order to enhance processes, queries, reports and information streams within the Capacity/Production Planning environment, affecting cross functional teams such as DCs, Transportation, F&R, and Ordering Operations
Continue to strengthen and build relationships with Supply Chain partners to ensure smooth and consistent communications, and to gain consensus on capacity goals and methods recommended. Influence critical decision-making, utilizing influential authority with all teams and resources.
Lead large-scale process improvement initiatives from induction through to implementation. Coordinate all required activities including both system and process investigation, design, build, documentation, testing, rollout, and organizational change management
Initiate, develop, coordinate and execute work plans with cross functional supply chain teams that deliver positive results. This includes facilitating formal and informal communications across all levels of the organization
Prioritize and cope with competing and changing objectives in support of both short and long term goals while maintaining stakeholder expectations. This includes various ad hoc analytical work, assessing options, presenting findings, and influencing solution designs with cross functional teams.
Mitigate operational risks to meeting CTC enterprise level goals and targets by pro-actively anticipating issues and barriers to change, as well as communicating recommendations to management to overcome these barriers
