WORK DESCRIPTION: We have an exciting full-time permanent opportunity where you will be able to work remotely 4 days a week, 2nd shift (Saturday + 3 week days) as a Level One Technician on our Global Service Desk. The Service Desk technician role at our firm is like no other as we are proud to say that professionals come to us to advance their IT careers doing “real” IT work. We are not your typical password-reset-only Service Desk as we teach you core principles of IT Support and grant you elevated administrative access to do a lot more than what most Level One Analysts do today at other companies. In addition, our career development program enables the ambitious candidate to be potentially promoted to various other positions within our firm. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a client service role within an energetic and friendly team-oriented virtual Corporate environment. This position carries with it a great deal of responsibility which requires someone who can work with very little supervision, but can still maintain a high level of resourcefulness and strict adherence to procedures. Multitasking is a critical skillset that is needed for this role as well as sound organizational skills. Since this is a work-from-home position, having a stable internet connection and an ideal segregated workspace in your place of dwelling is essential to the success of this role .
Our Level 1 technician is the primary interface with the end user client for all technical issues and is responsible for monitoring infrastructure and customer’s devices, troubleshooting and resolving problems while communicating solution/updates to the end user and technical teams as outlined in our standard operations procedures.
CARACTERISTICS OF IDEAL APPLICANT:
– A minimum of three (3) years of working experience in a Level 1 technical role;
– Experience with server/application monitoring (Level 1) is highly preferred
– Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite/O365 and general knowledge of Windows server 2008/2012/Exchange/SQL, etc.;
– Ability to multitask and work well in a team environment;
– Ability to follow processes and possess good documentation skills;
– Candidate should be well organized and possess good customer service skills;
– Willing to learn and grow technical knowledge;
– Fully bilingual French & English (written, spoken), English stronger, Spanish is an advantage.
– Expect routine performance evaluations and assessments
