The Ideal Candidate
Commitment to executional excellence and outstanding customer service
High School diploma required; Full (or in-progress) Post-secondary degree an asset
3-5 Years Logistics experience, preferably in a 3PL/4PL Logistics environment operating all modes of freight
Experience using Excel, MS Office applications (i.e., Word, PowerPoint)
Experience with an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, specifically Microsoft D365 would be an asset
Thrives in a busy environment with strong prioritization, organizational, and multi-tasking skills
Confidence in problem solving and finding amicable resolutions
Ability to work in a team environment, while also delivering independent results
Passionate, accountable, flexible
Excellent verbal and written communication and listening skills
Focused on driving efficient and effective processes
Desire to leverage technology to minimize routine work and enable process improvements
Willingness to work outside their role as needed to support business needs
Ability to potentially work overtime and/or flexible hours during peak seasons
Any relevant professional development and/or designations an asset (ie. CCLP)
Responsibilities
Developing strong relationships with all relevant parties including frequent engagement of key stakeholders
Dynamic Load Building using a strong understanding of customer requirements and objectives
Planning and collaboration with core carriers, pool points and warehouse providers
Sourcing of incremental capacity to cover peak demands
Execute operations activities in sourcing, load tendering, track and trace, scheduling, event management (overcoming service issues, OS&D) with accuracy and a sense of urgency
Consistent and professional communication with all aspects involving the movement of goods
Support root cause analysis, corrective actions and continuous improvement processes to increase service performance
Open communication and willingness to tackle concerns with genuine care in collaboration with customers, suppliers, and peers
Help and assist in the testing and implementation of logistics functions in its new Microsoft D365 Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system
Participate in cross-functional projects such as Customer or Supplier start-ups, Procurement events, and the roll-out of new service offerings
Use your knowledge and experience to share ideas that may improve results
Support the resolution of supplier invoicing inquiries as needed
