Chemtrade Looking for Talent Development Coordinator – Contract (14-16 months) at Toronto, ON Full Time

The Talent Development Coordinator will help provide support in the design, development, enhancement and delivery of Talent Development programs and services. Through building and delivering progressive people, cultural, and organizational strategies, and solutions we will help to achieve a superior employee experience and driving performance excellence. The individual will play a key role in building our Centre of Excellence through the development and execution of tools, processes, policies and procedures and services in the disciplines of, training and development, employee engagement, talent assessments and succession planning, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion

Key Responsibilities

• Learning and Development:
  • Contributing to the Talent Review process by partnering with the Talent Director in creating tools, resources and guides and collaborating with the HRIS Team on how to best design new enhancements or Talent Modules in HRIS
  • Making recommendations to process improvement and automation
  • Assisting in the Succession Planning Process this may include creating tools and resources for employees and leveraging systems to streamline processes
  • Processing of Tuition Reimbursement requests including monitor spend and make recommendations for improvements to policy and administrationAssisting in the uploading of content, assigning courses, running reports, source and review courses (on occasion) for specific topics/purposes
  • Working with the Talent Development Partner to assist in the coordination of Instructor Led Training (ILT) programs including classroom set up, coordinating schedules with class participants, and preparation of all required documents for training sessions.
  • Act as a super user for the Learning Management System (LMS)

• Create and execute company Social Media strategy including:
  • Managing and updating all social media boards (LI, FB); ensuring that most up to date communications are posted and company feeds reflect current and accurate information
  • Partner with various individuals throughout the organization to garner information to then write and design meaningful social posts
  • Creating a forward-thinking schedule and calendar of content and events supporting current business needs such as recent announcement, company news, career opportunities and general informational pieces that align with business initiatives.
  • Staying aware of prominent international events related to DEI to promote awareness
  • Monitor social media sites and responds to questions, inquires etc.

• Advise and execute on the strategies and objectives of Employee Engagement through the implementation of new initiatives and content. :
  • Responding to employee and manager inquires related to the employee recognition program (Cheers)
  • Executing reports and upload key information into our Achievers system to ensure the smooth functioning of the Cheers program
  • Monitor program metrics, generating reports and processing key information in order to ensure the consistently smooth delivery of the program.
  • Partner and assist Director of Talent with the deployment of the Engagement Survey, including analyzing survey results and facilitating training sessions for employees across the company.

• In collaboration with the Talent Development Partner, manage the production of the quarterly employee newsletter and distribution of print and e-copies that includes:
  • Working with various employee groups to source relevant content while ensuring the diversity and business values of each piece
  • Engaging with editor, design, and printing teams to ensure smooth process

• Build and maintain internal HR SHarePoint Site including site refresh and new content pages including:
  • Advise on the best practices and available training for site admins team
  • Work closely with IT team to ensure major company-wide initiatives and communications are spotlighted and advises on design and look of the page

What You Need to Be Successful

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources management, organizational development, business administration, or related field
• Three (3) or more years of experience in human resources development, organizational effectiveness, learning and development, and/or talent management
• Knowledge of learning and organizational effectiveness theory and best practices
• Proven experience in a consultant/facilitation role
• Demonstrated success presenting & communicating ideas to selected stakeholders and project management.
• Able to work with others, collaborate effectively, and build relationships
• Able to manage projects, create effective plans and execute with excellence
• Strong interpersonal skills, oral and written communication skills
• Strong Microsoft Office proficiency & experience with LMS technologies and e-learning platforms

Reports To: Director of Talent Acquisition & Development

Location: Chemtrade’s office are located at 404 & Finch Ave, North York. This role is offered as a hybrid position to be available to work from the office 1 to 2 days per week with remaining days available to work from home.

This role is being offered on a contract basis to cover a leave for a period of 14-16 months. The opportunity for permanent full-time will be based on a combination of several variables including performance and business needs which will be evaluated towards the end of the contract term.
