Job Type: Temporary.
Initial Term: ASAP to April 19, 2024.
Target Compensation: From $35 per hour to $45 per hour, with some flexibility according to experience.

Regular Work Hours: FULL TIME WORK HOURS – 7.25 work hours per day, not including unpaid 1 hour lunch break, to be worked during regular business hours, Monday to Friday (36.25 work hours per week).
Work Location: 100% onsite at Client’s downtown Toronto office, near TTC station.
Responsibilities Summary:
To perform large volume data review, data analysis and address any related operational issues, in support of annual ministry reporting project.
Gather and extract data from wide variety of sources, performing data validation and cleansing to ensure integrity standards.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to identify data requirements.
Conduct research to support work process, analyze data to support various information requests, inquiries, briefings and external communications.
Assess data, identify emerging issues, investigate and provide feedback. Recommend actions to support management decisions relating to IT systems and business processes.
Additional Data Analysis Responsibilities As Required.
Qualifications:
Education: Post Secondary Degree in Information Management, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or similar discipline.
Preferred Work Experience: At least 3+ years of work experience in data analysis, ideally in a government or broader public sector environment supporting legislative requirements.
Preferred Sector Experience: Public Sector experience preferred.
Technical and Language Skills Requirements:
Expert level MS Excel and Access (will be tested).
Demonstrated proficiency with data analytics tools, systems and programming languages, including statistical packages, data modelling, data mining, database design development, and segmentation techniques.
Proficient English communication skills, both written and verbal, including strong business writing skills and professional telephone manners.
Task -Based Qualifications and Additional Attributes:
Familiarity and confidence in large-volume data review and data analysis.
Experience with data analysis and exploration; data cleaning and preparation; statistical analysis; database queries and programming languages; creating dashboards and reports; data visualization; and machine learning.
Demonstrated record of professional conduct and character. Responsible, reliable and works to deadlines.
Pleasant and courteous: demonstrated commitment to client service and professional representation of the organization.
Proven ability to professionally handle confidential information and exercise good judgement in the interpretation and application of instructions and organization policy.

Demonstrated successful experience of prioritizing work, making decisions and communicating with others within a values framework of respect, equity, anti-racism, diversity and inclusivity.
Additional Requirements:
Must be legally entitled to work in Canada, providing satisfactory documentation upon request.
Ability to work 100% onsite, abiding by organization health and safety policies.
Ability to declare personal Non-Conflict of Interest in execution of assignment responsibilities prior to assignment start.
Ability to complete a satisfactory Provincial Government security check, including a Fingerprint Check, prior to assignment start. Please note that Marberg will reimburse for the cost of the Fingerprint Check upon your acceptance of Assignment Offer and submission of approved Expense Receipts.
Provision of certification of AODA and OHSA online training course completion prior to assignment start.
Satisfactory Background Checks, Technical Skills Evaluations, and Employment References as required.
