VA & Digital Marketing Assistant

Job Summary
As our VA, your #1 job is to manage our all-important inbox and 1-888 number by responding to customer and prospect enquiries. Our small team can count on you to deliver, our customers/prospects are awed by your exceptional service. While you are “organized over artsy”, you also enjoy the chance to create fun content for our colourful brand, whether DIY using tech tools or hiring freelancers to help.
Roles and Responsibilities
60% Virtual Assistant (weekly, M – F, flexible hours within 9am – 5pm EST)
- Respond to customer enquiries via email and 1-800 # in a timely manner
- Manage team calendars, book zoom meetings or room rentals
- Organize digital files and help maintain Standard Operating Procedures, SoPs
- Update course content on our e-ticketing software, Google Business, etc
- Help manage job postings, review applicants and schedule interviews
- General online research, data entry, email outreach or team follow up
40% Digital Marketing Assistant (weekly, flexible hours or as needed)
- Website management: minor updates to our WordPress website
- Social Media: design 3-4 weekly posts or videos (Canva templates), draft or repurpose copy captions and schedule for posting.
- Video content: add subtitles & header to video reels (canva, veed.io)
- Blogs: transcribe video content and format into a blog post (otter)
- Email: simple email creation using our e-ticketing platform
- Review marketing metrics to assess results (social media, google analytics)
Bonus Skills:
- Facebook ads, Video creation (reels) or blogging for SEO
- Sales funnels and email sequencing/workflows
- A/B split testing – landing pages, emails
- Marketing or Business degree/diploma, or relevant field
- Toronto-based and know major GTA neighborhoods
- Able to check our inbox 1-2x over the weekend (when busy parents email)
Requirements
- Well-organized, able to prioritize tasks and adhere to deadlines
- Detail-oriented, timely follow ups and exceptional customer service
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal) with people at all levels (teachers, parents, staff, partners, peers)
- Enthusiastic and positive attitude, a team player with solid people skills
- Ability to work independently, yet able to ask for support as needed
- Adaptable to new or unexpected situations and can identify possible solutions
- Excellent knowledge of computer software, tech tools and apps (Google Docs, gmail for business, Slack, Asana, Google Business, etc)
- 2+ years of relevant work experience
- Good understanding of digital marketing principles and project management

Codezilla provides coding classes, STEM and maker camps and parties, and lunch and after school programs for kids ages 4 – 14 in Toronto.
