THE ROLE:
As a Business Development Manager at Colony Construction, you will play a key role in shaping the future success of our company.
The right candidate for this position brings related construction sales experience with the drive to grow into a leadership role, growing with us as we grow, and aligns with our core values and vision, embodying a collaborative, competent, and caring approach.
YOU:
- Have Sales experience bringing on net new business within Construction, $5M-30M projects (A MUST)
- Have experience light industrial or low-rise commercial project sales – preferred
- Are looking for an opportunity to have a true impact by applying their experience, within a dynamic and genuine team that is poised for growth and success
- Bring a highly collaborative approach to sales, understanding that it takes a team to succeed
- Respond appropriately to challenges, and has perseverance in the face of challenges
- Bring their positive attitude, collaborative spirit and innovative thinking to all that they do
- Live in the Lower Mainland, the Okanagan or Edmonton/Calgary areas
- Have managed teams, or looking to grow into leadership capabilities and responsibilities
- Have experience working within a CRM system (Salesforce or similar) to track opportunities, systematically follow up with customers, etc.
- Ability to travel, as needed
PERFORMANCE DETAILS:
- Net new business revenue goals, with growth into Account Management responsibilities/goals
- Team growth, minimal turnover, project success (metrics/outcomes attributable to solid sales processes), client satisfaction/retention
- Deal size – $5M – $30M+
- Territory – All of Canada with a primary focus on Western Canada
- Growth potential – 1-2 years as an individual contributor, with the intent to grow into a Director/leadership role

- Initial screening call
- Video interview with the leadership team (1 hour)
- Presentation/Interview (1 hour)
- In-person interview/meeting (1.5-2 hours)
- Sales team meetings (TBD)
- Decision/Offer
