Contour Logistics: We are a logistics company specializing in all modes of transportation, offering service both domestically and internationally. We work with a wide network of carriers to provide a complete transportation service experience, with real time communication, for our customers. We are currently seeking a highly organized individual with great attention to detail to join our growing team.
Reporting to the Director of Operations and Operations Manager, the Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for building, booking, dispatching, and tracking orders, while providing excellent customer service to our valued customers.
Key Responsibilities:
· Collect and review all details from customers to organize their requests
· Build customers, carriers, shipping locations and load orders with attention to all detail in our internal system
· Coordinate and dispatch freight
· Track and trace; follow up with carriers and customers to obtain and relay real-time information regarding freight pick ups and deliveries
· Maintain contact with customers through email and phone, while serving as an intermediary between customers and carriers
· Provide quotations to customers and potential customers
· Provide excellent service to all customers and potential customers, while developing and maintaining positive relationships with all external parties
· Working in a 24/7 operation, an after-hours/on call service is expected when necessary
Requirements & Experience:
· High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
· Exceptional professional customer service skills
· Strong organizational and time management skills
· Ability to work in a dynamic and fast paced environment
· Great problem solving skills
· Excellent written/verbal communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
· Experience in customer service is an asset
· Knowledge of logistics and transportation industry is an asset
· Strong computer skills (MS Outlook, Word, Excel)
· Experience with working in dispatch programs is an asset
· Experience working with LoadLink is an asset
· Post secondary degree/diploma
