Mainframe Performance & Capacity Consultant
Use standard industry methods and tools to solve complex z/OS Mainframe performance & capacity issues and innovate new methods and reports to provide value to the mission.
This responsibility includes collaborating and partnering across the entire organization and with vendor partners. The Mainframe Performance & Capacity Consultant is both technically competent and business oriented.
- Working experience as z/OS Mainframe Performance & Capacity Consultant providing performance improvements and evaluating capacity needs, both present and future, in a complex enterprise
- Ability to work under minimal supervision
- Solid knowledge IBM z/Enterprise server hardware and of RMF, SMF, SAS, MXG, MICS, JES2 and other tools.
- Extensive history creating metrics reports for daily operations, projects, and ad hoc requests with demonstrable ability to analyze data to identify trends and process enhancement opportunities
- Performance Diagnostics, problem resolutions and proactive management in z/OS.
- Solid production support background in the mainframe space
- z/OS Workload Manager Policy design in a large Sysplex environment
