The Field Sales Representative will grow sales and increase company profits by cultivating current customers and recruiting new customers within Red Deer and surrounding areas. The representative will increase profitability by promoting products, providing technical support and conducting training to new and repeat customers within an assigned territory.
The responsibilities of this role are (but not limited) to:
Generate new sales with existing customers and develop opportunities with new customers within assigned territory
Utilize BPM online to ensure that Operations and Management are kept informed on sales, upcoming projects and activity in a timely manner
Visit job sites as needed to measure or provide client services
Gather competitive information and other market information regularly while interacting cooperatively with other members of the sales team
Prepare and present quotations
Generate new sales with existing customers and develop opportunities with new customers within assigned territory
Practice honesty and integrity in customer and vendor relations
Present a professional image at all times to customers and vendors
Participate in trade association functions as required
Participate and be active in local industry organizations
Required Qualifications:
3+ years related industry experience
Extensive knowledge of Industrial safety equipment and service is an asset
Business degree or equivalent training
Experience working with BPM
Possess exceptional organizational skills and ability to meet established deadlines
Strong relationship and communications skill
Preference will be given to candidates with post secondary education in sales/marketing
Additional Requirements/Training:
Valid unrestricted license with full driving privileges in the province of issue for the specified class of vehicle to be operated on behalf of the company.
Safety certificates will be required: H2S Alive, Standard First Aid, PST, CST, EGSO (some in-house training may be offered).
