We are now hiring for a Procurement and Logistics Coordinator at our Abbotsford location. Our quickly growing company has plenty of departments to grow and develop your career!

What you’ll do:

As a line worker, you will be responsible for completing daily production

• Procurement: Acquire goods and services in a timely fashion from known or sourced suppliers. Negotiate terms and places basic purchase and contract orders. Communicate with customers to explore and identify value-added opportunities. Process purchasing orders, overdue order or lost deliveries with follow up. Review regular status reports and identify items of concerns and take appropriate action. Conduct market research and participate in procurement process.
• Bid Process & Contracts: Develop competitive bid documents and conduct necessary processes associated with bid type. Obtain appropriate approvals to finalize negotiations and prepare debriefing documents.
• Logistics: Develop and direct logistic processes, establish ongoing improvement plans for freight management, vendor routing and carrier management. Provide monthly updates on status or projects. Conduct profit and loss management, develop implement and monitor performance metrics for transportation, shopping and receiving. Create, monitor, and report on weekly and monthly key performance.
• Couriers/Carries: Negotiate and manage contracts and service level agreements. Establish preferred carrier program.
• Inventory: Work with team to minimize shortages and improve inventory holding. Frequent inventory counts establish and maintain. Coordinate transfer of inventory and communicate the cycle count and year end count requirements. Posting production orders, update the management team on weekly progress.

What you’ve done:

• 2+ years of progressive work experience in a procurement and/or supply chain function and 3+ years of progressive work experience in a logistics and/or transport function.
• Experience in negotiating supply, services agreements and coordinating third-party logistic providers.
• Strong knowledge of ERP/MRP systems.
• Relevant degree/diploma or enrolment in professional designation such as Logistics Management or PMAC or Supply Chain Management is an asset.
• Direct working knowledge of operations, warehouse management, inventory control, supply chain management and transportation management.
• Customer service driven.
• Capability to work with internal departments, external partners, and diverse personalities in a manner that promotes positive relationships.
• Superior time management skills, multitasking skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks with minimal supervision
• Be familiar with SQF requirements.

Due to the essential nature of our business, all new hires must be vaccinated against COVID-19.
