Position Summary

The Senior Manager, Logistics and Procurement will be primarily responsible for:

• Responsible for the overall supply chain management including vendor and logistics services provider relationship, contract negotiations and periodic vendor performance reviews.
• Overseeing warehouse and logistics operations and procurement planning to ensure the timely fulfillment of inventory requirements for the Field Operations team
• Oversee the production planning of meter sealing and assembly activities required by the business.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and logistic service providers including leading the negotiation of supply or service agreements including the periodic review of vendor performance.
• Facilitate cross-departmental communication on key supply chain and logistics issues
• Oversee the development and production of key performance indicators for warehouse / assembly activities to report on performance to drive insights to be used for management decisions.
• Hold the overall responsibility for financial reporting of all warehouse inventory and activities including the planning and execution of cycle and year end inventory counts, including analyzing results and determining adjustments
• Holds the overall responsibility of health and safety for the warehouse and assembly area operations through the development and maintenance a Hazard Matrix – identification of hazard areas, application of control measures, assessment and reassessment to ensure the hazard risk is within acceptable level in accordance with business expectations.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives for warehouse operations and production planning
• Holds the overall responsibility of ensuring QMS procedures pertaining to procurement and warehouse operations are properly followed and updated from time to time as necessary.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree related to Business, commerce, or equivalent degrees with a logistics or supply chain focus
• Minimum 8 years of previous management or supervisory experience within a distribution / warehouse or procurement roles
• Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to influence business partners, to help prioritize activities and resources to meet the organization needs and build rapport.
• Demonstrate solid leadership skills with the ability to act as a collaborative partner with senior management and positively influence management and staff to act in the best interest of the company
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and Power Point.
• Self-starter with exceptional planning skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication capabilities
• Demonstrate strong leadership with excellent interpersonal skills
• Experience in working in an ISO-9001 accredited business and quality management system.
