What you’ll do:
You will be responsible to ensure a safe, sustainable, and efficient operation while achieving short to mid-term objectives. Provides leadership, direction, and guidance to two Supervisors of Transportation within the region. The success of FCL’s outbound logistics operations require the seamless coordination between Transportation Operations and Distribution Operations, which includes ensuring the DC Operations Manager, is current with all significant status changes that may impact the smooth operation in the DC.
You will lead, direct, and guides the Transportation Operations team in the safe, efficient, and sustainable execution of all activities in the transportation value stream. You will support and promote continuous improvement initiatives.
You will provide leadership, guidance, and support in the development of operational knowledge and skills of the multiple Supervisor, Transportation Operations employees.
You will lead annual performance evaluations for direct reports and actively participate in preparation of all indirect evaluations. Prepare for and lead review of direct reports for the annual department employee pre-calibration sessions.
You will manage the Transportation Operations budget. Develop the function budget, challenging the status quo, looking for more cost-effective methods, while increasing value to the customer.
You will lead the development and execution of an operational plan based on the tactical plan provided by the Director, Transportation Operations. Monitors implementation to ensure adherence to plan and achieve expected results.
The primary focus is safety, as demonstrated through actions, discussions, risk management, and other opportunities on a daily basis.
You will demonstrate a culture of customer focus in all aspects of daily work. Considers potential impact to the customer in all actions taken and inspires the same expectations across the Transportation Operations team.
You will promote an environment that fosters employee engagement through regular collaboration with Transportation Leadership team, Transportation employees and Human Resources.

Who you are:
You are looking for a career in Supply Chain and:
You have a two-year diploma in Business or Logistics
You have a minimum of 10+ years of progressively responsible experience in logistics and/or 2transportation with 3+ years of leadership experience (a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered).
CITT Designation is an asset.
