Position Summary
Reporting to the Manager of Regional Operations, the position is responsible for the provision of logistical support and coordination, supporting the day to day operational needs of FNHA direct service sites, ordering and receiving supply chain deliveries of FNHA supplies.
As a health and wellness organization, the First Nations Health Authority has aligned with the Provincial Public Health Order released on October 14, 2021. We have a mandatory COVID-19 vaccination policy for all employees at First Nations Health Authority. This policy requires all employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. If selected for employment, you will be required to provide proof of vaccination by providing a copy of your BC Vaccination Card Passport with the QR code.
Responsibilities
Provides administrative support to ensure that all logistics related activities from order fulfilment to transportation cycle to make sure established deadlines are met.
Facilitates the shipping and receiving of FNHA supply chain products from supplies to FNHDA direct services sites. Arranges transportation and orchestrates deliveries to meet demand with little or no delay.
Ensures FNHA Direct Service sites have operational supplies at a capacity to ensure inventory is kept at optimal levels
Continuously reviews and kept informed of Public Transportation of Dangerous Goods and CDC biological transport regulations to ensure proper handling of products/medical supplies.
Produces labels, inputting data into computer programs, receiving and relaying phone & fax messages, packaging items for shipping/dispensing.
Maintenance of the FNHA Direct Services sites shipping and receiving document tracking systems, inclusive of the archiving and tracking of FNHA shipping files and inventory.

Qualifications
Completion of Grade 12 and a diploma or certificate in a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education, training and work experience.
At least three (3) years of progressive experience in Logistics and Transportation in a First Nations Health Care environment.
Experience working with BC First Nations Communities and/or organizations
Experience utilizing a variety of office tools including Microsoft Office Suite, excel, word, power point with an aptitude to embrace mastery of new computer systems and databases
Experience in the establishment and maintenance of digital filing systems and file management processes
Experience in handling sensitive confidential information and matters in a trusted and responsible manner
Knowledge, Skills & Attributes
Knowledge of FNHA and its structure and inter-dependencies
Knowledge of administrative services, processes and procedures
Knowledge of information, records and data management approaches and options
Knowledge of the geographical landscape of British Columbia as it relates to the complexities of shipping and receiving to First Nations communities in the Province.
Quick learner with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, maintain focus and adapt to a variety of challenges
Ability to work with a large FNHA customer base and diverse team
