Four Seasons Resort Whistler is located at the foot of Blackcomb and Whistler. The resort is a five-minute walk to the ski lifts and a 10-minute stroll to the village center, making it the perfect location for a rustic adventure any time of year.
Our guest rooms are spacious, beautifully re-styled in December, 2019, the refurbished rooms and suites pay close attention to the unique placement of Whistler – a secluded retreat, just an hour and a half away from the international destination of Vancouver.
In December 2020, we completed a property-wide enhancement with the launch of Braidwood Tavern, a craft kitchen and social house conceived in collaboration with celebrated chef and restauranteur Richard Sandoval, along with a re-imagined SIDECUT Steakhouse, both designed by Box Interior Design.
Your job:
We are looking for a Talent Acquisition Manager to drive recruitment and career growth. The Talent Acquisition Manager will be responsible for attracting the best talent to join our Whistler team! You will be responsible for sourcing, attracting, interviewing, hiring and onboarding in our highly seasonal beautiful resort.
Responsibilities include:
Responsible for designing and leading the recruitment strategy for the resort – Own recruitment, build a strong candidate pipeline and find innovative ways to find and recruit talent.
Network with local organization and peers to source candidates for current or future openings. Organize and attend job fairs and recruitment events.
Develop strong ties with international organizations to bring seasonal workers to Whistler, travel maybe required to attend in person job fairs internationally.
Develops and leads an effective recruitment strategy that attracts and retains top talent for all positions.
Research market and industry trends to target candidate pools.
Work closely with hiring managers to identify staffing needs. Understanding the importance of Interviewing and providing guidance and counsel to our managers throughout the process.
Develop, implement, and share best practices methods for external social media, data mining, and using LinkedIn Recruiter to target top candidates.
Produce reports/metrics for leadership including current job activity, candidate flow and hiring trends.
Identify and execute strategies that serve to attract, retain, and develop diverse premiere talent.
Coordinates all aspects of recruitment including job postings, interviews and job offers, tracking applicants and ensuring follow up.
Be the liaison between the Resort and schools, universities, and employment agencies.
Design, develop, and implement Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging programs to support attraction of diverse applicant pools.
Strives to improve employee retention. Review and analyze recruitment trends: Turnover, Resort Promotions, local and industry information.
As our hotel is open 24/7, 365 days a year, the TAM will be flexible in working weekends and holidays.
About You:
2+ years of previous experience as a talent acquisition manager, preferably in a hotel/service industry environment, preferred.
You’re a go getter – you’re not shy to find talent. You will pick up the phone, get in your car, or search various recruitment platforms. You are the expert and know the difference between skill and will. You can connect with others and see their passion for service/hospitality.
You’re open minded – You will try every option out there when it comes to recruitment. You will leave no stone unturned. How can Four Seasons continue to lead the way – make your recommendations based on your expertise and findings.
You’re a driver – driven to find results, identify options and solutions, and motivated to see progress.
Ability to work in Canada and be able to travel internationally, as needed, for in person job fairs.
