GeoMate Looking for Business & Communications Assistant at Kitchener, ON Full Time

Job Description

GeoMate is a location intelligence company that uses artificial intelligence to create maps for urban mobility. We work with a wide range of stakeholders, including local governments and companies working in autonomous vehicles, delivery & logistics, consulting, and many other industries.

We are looking for a Business & Communications Assistant to join our team! In this role, you will be supporting GeoMate’s Director of Communications, Digital Marketing Specialist, and Business Development Manager in strategic and day-to-day business operations and will have the opportunity to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced, start-up environment.

What you bring

Need to have

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and French
• Strong organizational skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Demonstrated time management & ability to adapt to changing priorities and projects
• Must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident

Nice to have

• Experience in research, communications, and/or marketing
• Experience working in a startup environment

What you will do

As a Business & Communications Assistant, you will:

• Conduct research to accelerate business growth & development, including market, client, and partnership research
• Write grants and applications to generate funding, mentorship and support
• Help develop client and investor content, including pitch decks, informational documents, and proposals
• Develop blog posts to share on our website and social media platforms
• Help maintain and make improvements to our company website
• Support the Director of Communication, Digital Marketing Specialist, and Business Development Manager in other day-to-day projects and operations
