HOURS OF WORK:
The full-time position would be 5 days a week (Monday to Friday) or a combination equivalent to 35 hours per week as agreed upon by the candidate and Golf Canada Foundation. However, the demands of your position may require your hours of work to vary to meet the objectives of your employment. The position can be executed in a work from home capacity, or from the Foundation’s office at Glen Abbey Golf Club in Oakville, Ontario. Due to the nature of this position, the successful candidate may be required to spend days in-office, travel, or work weekends.
OPPORTUNITY
The Development Intern will provide direct support to the Foundation’s Operations Coordinator and at times to the Foundation’s CEO, Senior Director of Development, and Events Director. The successful candidate’s focus will be on the coordination of non-profit fundraising administration, grant and scholarship distribution, and assistance in the development of the national junior golf program. Additionally, the successful candidate will be responsible for supporting department projects and fundraising initiatives that reduce barriers to golf for a variety of demographics such as youth and women.
This position will comprise of strong administrative support for fundraising properties held within the RBC Canadian Open and private donor events. The ideal candidate must be organized and willing to assist in taking necessary steps to complete work, which at times can be physical in nature through the event set-up/tear-down process.
