Alberta Wildfire is seeking seasonal Wildfire Logistics Assistants to join our team!
Wildfire Logistics Assistants operate from various Forest Area offices throughout the province of Alberta. High Level, Peace River, Fort McMurray, Lac La Biche, Grande Prairie, Slave Lake, Whitecourt, Edson, Calgary, and Rocky Mountain House.
The Wildfire Logistics Assistant is a direct report to the Logistics Coordinator in the Forest Area office and is responsible for assisting the logistics section. The logistics section oversees all wildfire needs as directed by the Logistics Coordinator and/or the Duty Officer. Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate the ability to collaborate with many involved parties in a dynamic work environment with changing priorities.
Additional Duties and Qualities:
The minimum requirements for this role are a high school diploma plus one (1) year of related experience. Candidates must be 18 years of age or older.
Directly related education and or experience is considered on a one-for-one basis. Lesser qualifications may be considered at a lower classification level.

About Your Competencies:
$21.67 to $26.37 per hour (up to 36.25 hours per work week)
$21.62 – 26.42 per hour (up to 40 hours per work week in High Level Forest Area)
This requisition is recruiting for seasonal wages Wildfire Logistics Assistant positions with weekly hours up to 36.25 (or up to 40 for the High Level Forest Area). Evening and Weekend Shift Differential may be available as required.
The terms of employment may range from 3-6 months during active wildfire season (March 1st – October 31st).

Accommodations may be provided in most Forest Areas for the durations of temporary employment.
Successful candidates will require their own means of transportation to and from the work site.
